    1. Sometimes I have to be content with just a few hints of dormice! I went on a survey this morning and there were several nests, some complete and other half-built, but all the dormice were hiding. That happens sometimes. It is lovely to know that they’re around, anyway.

    1. Hi Lynette, welcome here 🙂 And yes, I think dormice are undoubtedly the most adorable of my local wild mammals! They’re distant cousins of squirrels and spend most of their time high in the trees, are only usually active at night, and are also endangered, so all in all are rarely seen. Very cute when they do show themselves, though.
